The fascinating charism of Heart’s Home, by Archbishop Pelvi (Italy).

Here is the message the Archbishop Vincenzo Pelvi adressed in 2008 to Heart’s Home for the celebration of our 10-year presence in Italy.

Dear Friends of Heart’s Home,

I wish I could have praised Lord with you, but a tragical aircraft accident causing the death of 8 young militaries prevents me from being physically present among you. I can however join you spiritually and fraternally through your Thanks Prayer for all the marvels you have been spreading for ten years in Afragola (Italy).
Heart’s Home bears a fascinating charism, open to the young people who have a deep desire to learn from the smallest and who are able to offer a testimony of love, ready to cast away the daily conveniences to live with the children in difficulties. They are enthusiastic souls who lead with conviction a permanent prayer life within a community based on forgiveness and mutual love.
Thanks dearest friends because you love God with your whole heart. The secret to regenerate your hearts is precisely this friendship with Jesus. God does not steal your heart, He multiplies it. Thus, in your everyday life you know that everything, every gesture, every situation is valuable. Your Mission frees itself from selfishness, it revitalizes each tiredness and brings serenity. Be the meeting point for divine charity in the midst of these thousands human troubles.

In this joyful celebration, in the name of the Redumptor, I encourage you once again to love with all your heart the smallest among the small with the enthusiasm inherent to the entire gift of oneself, until the end. Into your hearts live the love poured out from the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5) perfect, therefore, as the heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48) in the compassion and full of tenderness.

I ask you to invoke the Mother of the Rosary, the Queen of peace, for these militaries and their families as well as for all those who offer their lives in accomplishing their duty.

Vincenzo Pelvi
Archbishop of Italy, Military
2008
