Student’s Heart’s Home Trailer

Heart’s Home St Ignatius

To share the lives of the students and offer them a “home away from home”

The student Heart’s Home began in September 2011. Two years after Amy returned from a Heart’s Home mission in Honduras, she desired to be able to continue the spirit of compassion. While studying and working she was struck by the loneliness of so many students who had moved away from home and she saw the charism of Heart’s Home as a natural response.

The student Heart’s Home in Spokane is composed of 4 American youth who serve the students of Gonzaga University, Washington State University, and the greater Spokane community through times of prayer, companionship, sharing meals, coffee, conversation, and brunch every Sunday.

Heart’s Home St. Ignatius is looking for young women for 2015-2016 who wish to live their studies while sharing in a life of prayer (liturgy of the hours, adoration, rosary), community (four members), compassion, and hospitality. The Heart’s Home is open to freshman-senior undergraduate members, as well as graduate members, from Spokane area colleges. If you are interested, please contact Amy Koreski Nelsen by e-mail
