Rev. Thierry de Roucy, founder and chairman of Heart’s Home organization, will speak during a three-day conference on Solidarity organized by the World Youth Alliance at Yale University begining Saturday, September 26th.
The World Youth Alliance is a global coalition for promoting Human Dignity and Global Solidarity. As stated in their charter: “ The World Youth Alliance is committed to building free and just societies through a culture of life. That culture affirms the inalienable dignity of the person, defends the intrinsic right to life, nurtures the family, and fosters a social climate favorable to integral development, solidarity, and mutual respect.”
As we can see, the principles of the World Youth Alliance are really close to the charism of Heart’s Home. Actually, our presence in the slums and favelas as well as all our actions in the cultural field or at the UN aim at affirming human dignity and promoting mutual respect and solidarity.
Rich with his multi-faceted experiences, from the poorest areas of our world to the UN, we believe this discussion will be an opportunity for Rev. Thierry de Roucy to expand our vision of solidarity and compassion.
