Mission Statement

Heart’s Home is an international non-profit Catholic organization. Through the commitments of volunteers all around the world, it spreads a Culture of Compassion as an answer to the universal reality of Suffering.

  • Through friendship, Heart’s Home volunteers bring consolation to the most wounded people in the world, starting with the children. They visit them and welcome them every afternoon in their Missionary houses, the Heart’s Homes, located in deprived areas.
  • Heart’s Home works all around the world to affirm the intrinsic value of every human being through various initiatives in the corporate, scientific and artistic world. Among other activities and for this purpose it organizes discussions, retreats, conferences and seminars.

In 2005, Heart’s Home was granted the special consultative status within the United Nations (ECOSOC)[FR], on the basis of its work to promote human dignity and of its contribution to the Millenium Development Goals. Since then, we have opened a Heart’s Home in Geneva (Switzerland) to participate in the various committees dealing with human dignity.

To lead this Mission, Heart’s Home bases its work on the three following pilars: Prayer-life, Community and Compassion.
