"120 Hearts fill the Bohemian National Hall to support Heart’s Home...."
This is how Diana Bianchi Moison, who attended our Annual Benefit Dinner last Thursday, starts her account of the evening.
New York is a city which celebrates gala dinners and fundraisers every day of the year. But on May 5th, the third gala for Heart’s Home took the stage and left a lasting image on the devoted guests and friends who came to support this most worthy of causes.
The Czech Republic offered the Bohemian National Hall as the décor for this elegant, beautiful, lively and very moving celebration about Heart’s Home daily endeavors to help bring compassion to the lives of the needy all around the world. The evening began with a strong testimonial video prepared by Father Paul Anel, to bear witness to special moments of friendship and compassion that are brought to the less fortunate around the NY area, by the team of religious Sisters and volunteers in Brooklyn, home of Heart’s Home in the US.
The evening continued with a very lively auction directed by CK Swett, renowned and grand personality of Christie’s auctioneer, who made the ballroom rock with laughter and good humor while the bids increased and helped reach the expected fundraising result for the event!
We can only thank the members of the Dinner Committee headed by Antoine Treuille, those of the Junior Committee and all the volunteers, as well as Laetitia Palluat, President of Heart’s Home USA for having so elegantly orchestrated a lovely and “Heart Warming” evening of celebration; A celebration for this 21 year-old organization which everyday, discreetly but very effectively, comforts those who are the least celebrated in the world.
We invite you to share more about the beauty of this evening :
