Jazz event in Brooklyn - December 2008

“Art translates what is deepest in the heart of the artist, the image of one’s soul. In coming closer to suffering or poor people, we learn that Man has been created for something greater than his actual situation.” (A permanent member of Heart’s Home USA)

Heart’s Home USA regularly organizes cultural events to obtain financial support and communicate on its charism.

On December 17, 2008, Heart’s Home USA organized a Jazz Event in Brooklyn with a benefit wine & cheese cocktail to promote compassion through jazz and celebrate the work of Heart’s Home.

Through deep artists’ testimonies and great jazz music, Heart’s Home wants to transmit a message of hope and dignity that makes sense especially in these challenging times. Heart’s Home wants to be an answer to a cry of loneliness, despair and absurdity. This Jazz Event enabled artists and Heart’s Home members to bring more meaning in lives and promote human dignity despite everyday hurdles and difficulties.

"I will never forget this “Jazz with Passion and Compassion” event. I was very impressed by all those young volunteers’ devotion and involvement.
They provided the ideal loving and caring atmosphere for the magic to happen. The night just naturally unfolded with Love and Music. Thanks so much for having me. Much Love
."Sedric Choukroun, Saxophonist & Band Leader.
