I witnessed their unconditional and genuine love
A mum’s testimonial

by Theresa Garry, mother of a volunteer in the Ukraine

“In October I was privileged to spend some time with my daughter Jennifer while she is on a mission in Ukraine. We visited the people she has gotten to know through her mission work such as the elderly in the nursing home, the children in the orphanage, families who live out in the country, families who come to their home and spend time in prayer, share a meal together, or get help with their studies. They have also become friends with many very talented art students living in L’viv. What an experience: to spend time with the friends they have made over the months and years is a testimony to Heart’s Home and these volunteers. The Heart’s Home volunteers spend endless hours praying for and bringing the face of God to their friends who are starving for someone, anyone to show them they are important and worthwhile. I was moved as I witnessed the unconditional and genuine love they have for their friends. These volunteers are very dedicated to their call as missionaries for Heart’s Home, but of course they could not accomplish this without our Lord, His Mother Mary, and prayer.

I felt the impact Heart’s Home has on the people of Ukraine, and I was honored to meet these friends who love my daughter so deeply. Are we not called to love everyone especially those hardest to love? With the help of Gods grace Heart’s Home does this well. I could see that both the friends and missionaries are receiving much from what God has brought together. I would go back to Ukraine in a heartbeat, I have come to love the people of Ukraine and the people of Heart’s Home.

May Our Lord Jesus Christ continue to unite the hearts of His people.”
