I’m grateful for... Our Orientation Program!

From November 4 to November we wel­comed our new mis­sion­aries Kelsi H., Jennifer G. and Brittany K. for an intense 15 day immer­sion Orientation Program. This is it in their own words:

Jennifer G. – A Nourishing Experience.

"Three days before the end of my ori­en­ta­tion time, I found myself won­dering how on earth I was going to be able to sum­ma­rize this expe­ri­ence for friends and family back home. There’s so much to say! How can it pos­sibly be con­densed?! After much thought and many attempts to sum­ma­rize it, I found there is one word that is very fit­ting... Nourishing. Kelsi H. – A New Gaze upon a Suffering Humanity.

"I’ve been asked, on more than one occa­sion during my two weeks here in New York, what the best thing about the ori­en­ta­tion pro­gram has been. I have been unable to reduce the expe­ri­ence to just one good thing. There were so many!!!

Brittany K. – Being Oriented towards Christ.

"Orientation lit­er­ally means the state of being ori­ented. I was impressed with Heart’s Home’s ori­en­ta­tion, because I felt myself lit­er­ally being ori­ented-ori­ented towards Christ. Orientation is meant to orient you towards the mis­sion life you are com­mit­ting to and it did just that. Depth, devo­tion, and full­ness are the three words that sum up my 2-week ori­en­ta­tion pro­gram at Heart’s Home."(read on...)
