High Recognition by the French State
to Heart’s Home Founder

Rev. Thierry de Roucy

Dear Friends and Sponsors,

The year 2013 has brought wonderful tidings to us and we want to share and celebrate them with you.

On January 1st, our founder, Rev. Thierry de Roucy, has been promoted to the rank of Officer of the Legion of Honor. Father Thierry was first nominated a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2003.

The Legion of Honor, or in full the National Order of the Legion of Honor (Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur) is a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte on 19 May 1802. The Order is the highest decoration in France and it is divided in 5 degrees. The order’s motto is Honneur et Patrie ("Honor and Fatherland"), and its seat is the Palais de la Légion d’Honneur on the left bank of the River Seine in Paris.

This distinction is a recognition of the work done by Father Thierry since 1990. It is also, we believe, a recognition of the work of each one of our volunteers, our priests, religious sisters and lay consecrated, of each family and young people committed in the St Maximilien Kolbe Fraternities, of all of the friends who surround us with their affection and of each sponsor who, for many years, have been participating spiritually or financially to our mission.

On this day, January 4th, anniversary of the Intuition Day which saw the birth of our Spiritual Family 23 years ago, we want to thank Father Thierry for his tireless work and fatherhood and to congratulate him on this recognition.
