Farewell to Eric!

Eric V., who has been working in the Brooklyn office since September 2010, has just moved to Washington DC to start a new job. This is what he says of his five-month position as Associate Director of Development and Communications:

"It has been a pleasure to work with Heart’s Home USA and the ICCC for the past 5 months. I had the opportunity to improve my writing, editing, and organizational skills, and I’ve become more familiar with the world of non-profits and fundraising. But most importantly, I was deeply impressed and inspired by the degree of love and kindness that the Heart’s Home USA community shares with the people around them. As an employee and a friend, they welcomed me as one of their own, and they would do for any individual that seeks love and acceptance. I look forward to continuing to work and stay in touch with the Heart’s Home USA team!"

Eric has been in charge of development and public relations for the organization’s International Center for a Culture of Compassion (ICCC) in Woodbourne, NY, as well as helping plan events associated with the ICCC.

We are currently looking for young people who are interested in continuing his work. If you are interested, contact Laetitia Palluat de Besset: laetitia heartshomeusa.org or 718 522 2922
