March 8 - Art and the Religious Sense

On March 8, Heart’s Home and Crossroads Cultural Center invite all artists and art-lovers to join in this extraordinary event featuring some of the forefront activists of today’s “cultural humanitarian emergency”:

Rev. Thierry de Roucy, founder of Heart’s Home and of the International Center for a Culture of Compassion.

Makoto Fujimura, foremost Japanese painter, heir of the Nihonga tradition, and founder of the International Arts Movement.

Etsuro Sotoo, sculptor and Project Director of the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona.

They will share their experiences and insights on how they address today the universal longing for beauty, and thus actively participate in a rehumanization of culture.

The Roundtable will be facilitated by Dr. Francis Greene, Art Historian and Ph.D. It will be preceded by a 30mn concert by Internationally acclaimed pianist Hisako Hiseki.

The event is hosted by the American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, NY. The event will start at 6:30pm. While the concert is ongoing, door will be opened between pieces.
