A Word from our New President: Sister Blandine

Dear friends,

At the beginning of this school year and as I start serving as the new president of Heart’s Home USA, I would like to come to you first of all to say thank you. I am very grateful for your friendship, support, and interest in our mission. It is thanks to you that Heart’s Home is able to live and grow. As a member of Heart’s Home USA since its foundation in 2003, I have seen how much help we have received throughout these 11 years. From a single service center originally located in the Bronx, Heart’s Home USA now has a community of students in Spokane, an International Center for a Culture of Compassion, a Fraternity of Maximilian Kolbe, a missionary program, cultural events organized year round, prayer groups, and so many other activities; all of which contributes to spreading a culture of compassion.

Looking at all that has happened so far, I am very confident for the future and will put my effort to help Heart’s Home grow and develop even more.

My wish is threefold:
First, that we all deepen our faith, hope and love; putting ourselves anew in the school of Mary, joining her at the foot of the cross.
Second, that the volunteer program expands and reaches out to more young people. I have witnessed how the one year missionary experience has changed the life of many who committed to it and I would like this opportunity to be offered to many more young people so that they may experience the fruitfulness of an intense prayer life, the beauty of bringing and receiving friendship, and the richness of living in community.
Third, that more opportunities be given to come and stay at the ICCC. We’ve met so many persons looking for a peaceful, prayerful, and restful place! So many are looking for a place to renew their strength, to deepen their prayer life, or to simply enjoy a good balance between solitude and community gatherings.

I hope you will continue to join me and Heart’s Home in this effort,
helping in any way you can.

I assure you of my prayer and my dedication.

Sr Blandine Paponaud
