A New Heart’s Home Center
in Washington State

We are very excited to officially announce the opening of the first ever Heart’s Home on the West Coast! Located on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, this center will be run by young students and workers wishing to spread compassion on the campus. Gonzaga is a Jesuit University where many students develop a strong desire to serve others.

The 4 students making up the community are Jessica, a philosophy major who works in a nearby Women’s Drop-In Center; Margaret, a nursing major who does a lot of work at various hospitals in Spokane, Victoria, a Sociology major who leads many Catholic student organizations, and Amy, a Kindergarten teacher who is studying for her Master’s Degree in Religious studies.
Between the 4 community members we will be able to meet a wide diversity of people in the Spokane community. We are also excited to bring a presence of Heart’s Home to the GU campus with invitations to School of Community and other events in our home. We are very glad to be able to bring Heart’s Home to the West Coast of the U.S.A.

Spokane is not a very big city but there is a large homeless population and a high poverty rate. We believe the calling to found a Heart’s Home here will continue to be very fruitful among the University and the Spokane community. We trust in your prayers.
