Sr Blandine Paponaud is the President of Heart’s Home USA.
In 1998, sister Blandine quit her job as an Engineer in Computer Science and Statistics to become a Heart’s Home missionary in Honduras. She played a key role in the foundation of the Heart’s Home Center in Tegucigalpa, by setting up the missionaries’ activities as well as helping build an extension to their house. Upon her return to France, she asked to join the Servants of God’s Presence, the religious branch within Heart’s Home. In January 2001 she started her Postulancy Program in France, which was followed by a two-year Novitiate. In 2003 she came to the US to take part in the foundation of the Heart’s Home USA Center in the Bronx, NY. She helped in the development of the community’s ministry and Reaching-out Program and committed herself to the Board of Directors, as the Executive Secretary. In 2006 she enrolled in Post-graduate studies in Washington, DC. She graduated in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies on Marriage and Family. Since then, she has been a member of the Heart’s Home Team at the ICCC, in Woodbourne, NY, in which development she has enthusiastically and efficiently been participating for the past 6 years. She was elected Heart’s Home President by the Board of Directors in July 2014.
